I am an artist, a mother, and passionate appreciator of creative and authentic visual content. My ‘career’ in photography started at age 8 when my grandfather gave me a Kodak 110mm point and shoot camera. I was quickly hooked and fortunate to have parents that supported the continuous film and development costs. Eventually that passion let me to graduate from the Corcoran School of Art with a BFA in Photography.

Since then I’ve been privileged to work with many of the people and organizations that inspired me to pursue this path. I’ve collaborated with people who I consider to be the most motivating and innovative within the photo/video world, as well as some of the most difficult and demanding people, which taught me another set of important skills.

Along the way I’ve acquired the expertise necessary to take on enormously ambitious projects. I’ve contributed to massive multi-year, multi-photographer expeditions (National Geographic Perpetual Planet Expedition) that resulted in two one-hour NatGeo Channel documentaries, two full National Geographic Magazine issues dedicated to program expeditions, as well as coffee table books and program impact reports.

Since 2014 I’ve been a juror for the International Photographer Awards (IPA) and currently serve on the the Northern Virginia Community College Photography + Media Advisory Board.
